Terms of service
The rules for using Chronologue.
Effective 5 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses Chronologue: the website, the web app, the desktop app, and the API.
Who provides Chronologue
Chronologue is provided by Kaizen Brands LLC (“we”). By creating an account or a workspace, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you create a workspace for an organization, you agree on that organization’s behalf and confirm you are allowed to.
What Chronologue provides
Chronologue is time and activity tracking for teams. It includes a desktop app, a web app, AI daily summaries and answers, timesheets and reports, and an API, command-line tool, and MCP server for connecting other tools and AI agents. We may improve or change features over time.
Your responsibility for monitoring
Workspace owners decide whom to track, what to collect, and whether to take screenshots. If you run a workspace, you are responsible for using Chronologue lawfully. That means you:
- tell the people you track what Chronologue collects and why, and get any consent or agreement the law requires;
- do not install or run Chronologue on anyone’s device without their knowledge;
- track work time only, and respect the law where your people live and work.
Accounts and security
Keep your password, sign-in links, and API tokens secret. You are responsible for activity under your account and the tokens you create. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused.
Acceptable use
Do not use Chronologue to break the law, harass or covertly surveil anyone, or collect data you have no right to collect. Do not try to get around its access controls or rate limits, reverse-engineer it, or overload it.
Your data
Your organization owns the data in its workspace. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide, secure, and support Chronologue, as described in our privacy policy. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
AI features
AI summaries and answers can be wrong or incomplete. Each one links to its evidence, so check it before you make decisions about pay, performance, or discipline. Do not rely on AI output alone for those decisions.
Free trial and payments
New workspaces get a 14-day free trial, with no card needed. After that, paid plans are billed per seat, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. Adding people is charged pro rata straight away. Removing people takes effect at the end of the billing period, without a refund. If a trial ends without payment, the web workspace locks; activity keeps syncing for 14 days, and paying within that time restores everything. Prices exclude taxes unless shown otherwise.
Cancelling and deleting
You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. We delete workspace data 30 days after cancellation, so export anything you need before then. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
Chronologue is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
If someone brings a claim against us because you monitored people unlawfully through your workspace, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
Changes and contact
We will post changes here and tell workspace owners about significant ones before they take effect.
